Large diesel and gas engines might sound as old power sources. Yet a large part of the Netherlands still counts on them. Due to the long life and the many operating hours of these engines, high-quality maintenance is important. This requires large numbers of well-trained service mechanics. Our technicians from the new EU-countries are specialized in mechanical maintenance. Whether it concerns an adjustment of an installation, the maintenance, disassembly and/or assembly or a large new construction job; TPS provides professional service mechanics for every project.
What does a Service Mechanic do?
A TPS service technician can be deployed for all mechanical maintenance and overhauling of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines in the Industry, Maritime, Offshore and Agricultural sectors. Most of them have already worked as international technicians on different projects in the Netherlands, so they can easily adapt to new customers, activities and project locations.
Our men are able to maintain engines of all major brands such as Cummins, Wärtsilä, Rolls Royce, MTU, MAK, MWM, Deutz, Sulzer and MAN B&W. On most projects, they are responsible for one or more of the following tasks:
- Disassembly and assembly of engine parts;
- Alignment;
- Coaxing cylinder heads;
- Adjust fuel pumps;
- Disassembly and assembly of pistons and liners;
- Disassembly and assembly of coolers;
- Disassembly and assembly of water pumps and oil pumps;
- Disassembling connecting rods and measuring;
- Assembly of connecting rods including replaced bearings;
- Disassembly and assembly of the crankshaft (including bearing change).
We work on mechanical projects in especially the industry, data centers, agricultural- and maritime sector. Whether it is an urgent replacement of one crankshaft in a remote location or placing 200MW on a large new construction project; our technicians are widely deployable in all sectors.
We screen each service mechanic extensively on skills level, work experience and the English language. In this way we can assure the best possible match for your project.
